Creatives have been some of the hardest hit during the global pandemic. COVID-19 is a no-joke contagion spreading hither and thither without regard for its victims’ access to healthcare, safety, work, or status.

Artists, especially in crafts where gathering is a must are seeing their entire industries shut down. And, like the rest of the world, touring artists, as well as public-facing adjacent art professionals are seeing closed doors, slashed budgets, and limited resources.

Thankfully, we haven’t been forgotten. There is help out there.

Below is a big black button that will take you right to the National Endowment for the Arts resource page for artists. They have (handily) done the work for us, putting together a comprehensive list of places to find financial and medical assistance.

Personally, I have found a half year of panic just a touch stressful. If you’re feeling that sentiment, I can honest to science recommend using some CBT and meditation apps to melt away the worry. My faves are Sanvello for an all-in-one self-care hub. And then this trio of apps by Big Sky Health. They have one called Less for cutting down on the coronalcoholism, and one called Zero for helping lose the corona 15, and one called Oak for getting some peace after doom scrolling through these devastating news cycles!

More posts to come, as I find resources. Stay safe and healthy out there!
